Well, conflict can arise from many different causes. One can be a disagreement of two people's opinions on something. Another can be if someone has betrayed by someone like a friend.
Conflict arises in 3 ways, well according to my understanding. 1: It can happen when two people get in a fight. 2: It can happen when the protagonist messes up on something. 3: It is when there is something restricting the protagonist from doing something to defuse the conflict. Hope this helps!
