The effects caused by any operation can be reversed and the reversing process is called Inverse Operation. Mathematics had four major operations, they are Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division.

Addition and Multiplication are interconnected to each other so as  Subtraction and Division. But Addition and Subtraction are the inverse operations. Also, Multiplication and Division are Inverse Operations.

Moreover, there are inverse properties explaining these Inverse Operations. These properties will result in an identity number. The identity number for Addition and Subtraction is 0 and for Multiplication and Division is 1.
