Who would the double pour technique be a preferred method of fabricating a cast/study model
vodomira [7]

Answer:

Prevents distortion

Explanation:

Double-pouring technique is used for casting, it prevents distortion of the material to be fabricated or the study model.

It ensures the study or fabricated model is firmly withheld, increasing the material life span, and can be used at extreme conditions.

This type of technique takes longer time to set than the single pour method as it gives the needed base to yeild the oral structures.

Which of the following statements is most correct regarding the intracellular chemical signals known as "second messengers"? Sel
Mila [183]

Answer:

Cyclic AMP and calcium may be second messengers.

Explanation:

these are signalling molecules that are located inside the cells,They are releases  when cells   are in contact with  signals from an extracellular molecule. the extracellular molecules that cause the chemical  reaction  in an external environment  in the second messenger are called first messenger.

<u>the basic mechanisms of second messenger involve the binding of ligands to the cell membrane receptors( usually a trans membrane protein).causing   conformational  change in the receptor protein. The latter change affect the structural and functional activities of the receptors protein with a consequent  production of second messenger,</u>

<u />

Response of the cells  to the first messenger my cause different form of cellular reactions; the cells may  undergo depolarization  with influx of out flux of ions, differentiate to specialized cells  or migrate to another location.

Examples of first messenger are hormones and neurotransmitters, while calcium ions, cyclic GMP,AMP, diaclyglycerol are examples of first messengers.

Most first messengers are peptide hormones. Some may be streroid, However, the hydrophilic nature of the peptide hormone restrict their movement, at the cell membranes. Therefore most first messengers made of  peptide  are first converted to second messenger to  bring about their signalling effects. The usually mark the beginning of cascade events by second messengers.

Second messengers are usually classified based on their polarity and molecular form this include the

<u> hydrophobic molecules</u> ;diacyglecerol, phosphatdylinotisols. These diffuse  through the membrane  into intramembrane space of cells cause signalling effects in the cell.

<u>the hydrophiliic  molecul</u>es  are  located in the cystol  of cells. Example are  Cylic AMP. GMP, Calcium,

N02, CO,H2S are <u>polar molecules</u> that easily diffuse into the cells to cause signalling effects, they are the third Classification of second messengers.

What is DNA, and how does it function in cells?
Tom [10]
DNA, short for deoxyribonucleic acid, is present in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells and floats around in the cytoplasm of prokaryotic cells. DNA produces blueprints which RNA carry out to ribosomes to code for protein. You can say that DNA passes genetic material through generations.

Based on the scenario below, select the statement that accurately finishes the sentence.
Furkat [3]

Answer:

A. damaged her peripheral nervous system because the information regarding taste cannot be transmitted back to her brain.

Explanation:

The nervous system is an important system of our body and is directly related to our survival. This system is linked to the coordination of the organism's various activities and is also responsible for allowing the interpretation of the environment around us.

The nervous system is an important system of our body and allows us to have emotions, to remember an important moment in our lives, to interpret smells, tastes and images, to make movements and even to stay alive through the automatic breathing and heartbeat.

Taste, that is, the sense of taste is directly linked to the peripheral nervous system. For this reason, if Stacey has lost her sense of taste, we can conclude that she has damaged her peripheral nervous system because taste information cannot be transmitted back to her brain.
