Ramona has just been assigned an essay over the Civil War. She must write about one of the many battles of the Civil War. She mu

st talk about how it affected the war. She decides to write about the Battle of Pea Ridge. She reads a few books to research the battle. One book, Brother Against Brother, talks about the Battle of Pea Ridge. It was written by a historian named Dr. Arthur Fandrick. It lists many facts about the battle. She realizes that the Battle of Pea Ridge was an important battle. Ramona believes that the Battle of Pea Ridge helped to secure Missouri for the Union. Identify a paragraph from the book that helps Ramona defend her point of view. "At the Battle of Pea Ridge, there were more Confederate soldiers than there were Union soldiers. The Confederate soldiers were forced to march a long way to the battle. When it was time to fight, they were tired." "The area where the Battle of Pea Ridge was fought is now a national park. The Pea Ridge National Military Park has preserved the battlefield. It is located in the northwest part of Arkansas, near Missouri." "The soldiers from the South tried to enter Missouri through Arkansas. They wanted to use Missouri to invade the North. The Battle of Pea Ridge made the South retreat. It also kept Missouri on the Union's side." "Three of the leaders of the Confederate soldiers were captured and died just as the battle started. This kept the soldiers from trying to organize another attack. This made it easier for the Union soldiers to win."

Most people in ancient china were
hoa [83]

The majority of the people in Ancient China were peasant farmers. Although they were respected for the food they provided for the rest of the Chinese, they lived tough and difficult lives. The typical farmer lived in a small village of around 100 families. They worked small family farms. Although they had plows and sometimes used animals like dogs and oxen to do the work, most of the work was done by hand.

Why do third parties rarely succeed in national elections?
Alexandra [31]
Third parties rarely succeed in national elections because the vote is divided between the two larger parties. Take for example Clinton and Trump. The two largest candidates for the most recent national election, if there had been another candidate named Smith, and he was a third party representative and believe in Pro-Choice, higher taxes, and had similar views of Clinton, it would have diluted her vote and caused Trump to unanimously win the election.

Article vi of the u.s. constitution establishes that federal law is __________ in conflicts between federal and state law.scienc
lesantik [10]

I'm not sure of the exact word you are looking for, but the general idea is that the federal law will always reign supreme if there is ever a conflict between the federal and state laws. Federal law is superior or higher-ranking or more preferable, etc.

Here is the exact phrasing from Article VI of the US Constitution: "This Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding."
