First she bought 7 pairs of socks for $3 each

7 x 3 = $21

Then she bought she a sweater for her dog for $12

The total amount of money she spent:

$21 + $12 = $33

Then she found a $5 bill

So the difference of money is +5

She has 5 more dollars then what she had to begin with

Because she found $5, opposed to spending $33 of her money, she really spent $28 because she found $5

Hope this helps

After 12 years, a deposit of $10,000 into your college account has earned $6,000 in interest payments. What simple interest rate
babymother [125]

Answer:

5%

Step-by-step explanation:

I = PRT/100  where I = interest, P = initial deposit, R = the rate in %, T = number of years.

So substituting the given values:

6000 = 10000*R* 12/100

10000*12*R =  100*6000

R =  100*6000 / (10000 * 12)

R = 600000/120000

= 5%

Write the expression in simplest form
Semenov [28]

Answer:

m^{\frac{3}{2} }

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the rules of exponents

a^{m} × a^{n} = a^{(m+n)}  , a^{0} = 1

m² × m^{\frac{3}{2} } × m^{-2}

= m^{(2-2)} × m^{\frac{3}{2} }

= m^{0} × m^{\frac{3}{2} }

= 1 × m^{\frac{3}{2} }

= m^{\frac{3}{2} }
