So the square was fine, then the triangle decided to go for a hike.

now, if the triangle when it took off, it took 59 cm², and the square was left all by its lonesome with only 85 cm², that means with the triangle in it, the square is then 59 + 85 cm², or 144 cm².

\bf \textit{area of a square}\\\\
A=s^2\qquad
\begin{cases}
s=\textit{length of a side}\\
---------\\
A=144
\end{cases}\implies 144=s^2
\\\\\\
\sqrt{144}=s
\implies 12=s

The Library is 1.75 miles directly north of the school the park is 0.6 miles directly south of the school.How far is the library
statuscvo [17]

Answer: 2.35 miles

Check out the attached image below. A drawing often helps visualize the problem. In this case, all three locations are along the same vertical line. The distances 1.75 and 0.6 can be added up as those smaller segments form the entire distance we want (from park to library). So that's how I got 1.75+0.6 = 2.35

Nesterboy [21]

Step-by-step explanation:

In Exercise B, the complement of an angle is 90° - ∠X

4. 90° - 45° = 45°

5. 90° - 20° = 70°

6. 90° - 30° = 60°

7. 90° - 55° = 35°

8. 90° - 75° = 15°

9. 90° - 80° = 10°

In Exercise C, the supplement of an angle is 180° - ∠X

10. 180° - 20° = 160°

11. 180° - 105° = 75°

12. 180° - 90° = 90°

13. 180° - 150° = 30°

14. 180° - 135° = 45°

15. 180° - 120° = 60°
