If a sprinkler waters 1 over 8 of a lawn in 1 over 4 hour, how much time will it take to water the entire lawn? (1 point)

It would take 2 hours. To complete the whole lawn you would need:
\frac{8}{8}
To make a whole, so to get that we multiply:
8 \times  \frac{1}{8}  =  \frac{8}{8}
So we use the same number required for the whole lawn, and multiply it times the hours
\frac{1}{4}   \times 8 = 2

Plz help me, thank you
Kruka [31]

Answer:

P=40(1.03526)^{t}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Exponential Growth </u>

The natural growth of some magnitudes can be modeled by the equation:

P=P_o(1+r)^{t}

Where P is the actual amount of the magnitude, Po is its initial amount, r is the growth rate and t is the time.

The initial number of bacteria is Po=40 and it doubles (P=2Po) at t=20 min. With that point we can find the value of r:

2P_o=P_o(1+r)^{20}

Simplifying:

(1+r)^{20}=2

Solving for 1+r:

1+r=\sqrt[20]{2}

1+r=1.03526

The exponential function that models the situation is:

\mathbf{P=40(1.03526)^{t}}

If 1/2x = a= 2/3y and x + y= na, what is the value of n?
Fynjy0 [20]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{1}{2} x=a=\frac{2}{3} y\\\frac{1}{2}x=a\\x=2a \\\frac{2}{3} y=a\\y=\frac{3}{2} a\\x+y=2a+\frac{3}{2} a=\frac{4a+3a}{2} =\frac{7}{2} a=na\\n=\frac{7}{2}

A triangle can have at most ________ right angle.
andrey2020 [161]
A triangle can only have at most one right angle.

Here's a proof that shows why this is so:

We know that the sum of all interior angles of a triangle must add up to 180.
Let's say the interior angles are A, B, and C

A + B + C = 180

Let's show that having two right angles is impossible

Let A = B = 90

90 + 90 + C = 180

180 + C = 180

Subtract 180 from both sides

C = 0

We cannot have an angle with 0 degrees in a triangle. Thus, it is impossible to have 2 right angles in a triangle.

Let's try to show that it's impossible to have 3 right angles

Let A = B = C = 90

90 + 90 + 90 = 180 ?

270 ≠ 180

Thus it's impossible to have 3 right angles as well.

Let's show that is possible to have 1 right angle

Let A = 90

90 + B + C = 180

Subtract both sides by 90

B + C = 90

There are values of B and C that will make this true. Thus, a triangle can have at most one right angle.

Have an awesome day! :)
