Answer: You overhear a psychologist presenting a lecture to an introductory psychology class. The teacher mentions purposeful or goal-directed behavior that may vary in intensity from one occasion to another. You recognize that the professor is talking about motivational behavior.

Explanation:

Motivation is one of the psychological aspects that is most closely related to the development of the human being. Motivation is not characterized as a personal trait, but by the interaction of people with the situation, so the motivation varies from one person to another and in the same person can vary at different times and situations.

The best known theory was proposed by Abraham H. Maslow and is based on each human being striving to meet staggered needs, which are satisfied from the lower to the higher levels, the needs corresponding to the level in which the person is.

In a certain city, 80 percent of the households have cable television and 60 percent of the households have videocassette record
laila [671]

Answer:

The correct answer is C) 60,000 to 90,000 inclusive.

Explanation:

According with the available information, the 60% of the 150,000 households have videocassette recorder. In numbers:

60% of 150,000 = 0,6 . 150,000 = 90,000

and the 80% of the 150,000 households have cable television. In numbers:

80% of 150,000 = 0,8 . 150,000 = 120,000

There are in consequence a 20% of the 150,000 households that don't have cable television (equivalent to 30,000 households) and a 40% that don't have videocassette recorder (equivalent to 60,000 households).

 • The maximum number of households that have both cable television and videocassette recorders is 90,000. This could happen if all the households that have videocassette recorders had also cable television.

In that case there would be:

Only videocassette recorder: 0

Only cable television: 30,000

Both cable television and videocassette recorder: 90,000.

Neither cable television nor videocassette recorder: 30,000

In total: 150,000 householders.

 • The minimum number of households that have both cable television and videocassette recorders is 60,000. This could happen if all the 30,000 households that don't have cable television had contrary videocassette recorders; and in consequence there would be 60,000 households that had both cable television and videocassette recorder.

In that case there would be:

Only videocassette recorder: 30,000

Only cable television: 60,000

Both cable television and videocassette recorder: 60,000

Neither cable television nor videocassette recorder: 0

In total: 150,000 householders.

Our own experiences with the state through encounters with institutions such as the police or airport customs lend credence to t
elena-s [515]

Answer:

The correct response is Option B. A set of processes.

Explanation:

Political anthropologists see each state in each country as historically and culturally unique. It is an amalgamation of different practices and behaviors that have solidified over time gradually so that laws and institutions incorporate cultural assumptions and things we take for granted. Like the notion of freedom in the United States being an important part of civil rights. This value or moral is an integral part of American culture and how we make sense of government practices and our role in American society.

What is a unicameral congress?
Plz explain!
Thank you!
Alexandra [31]

In government, unicameralism (Latin uni-, "one" and camera, "chamber") is the practice of having a single legislative or parliamentary chamber. Thus, a unicameral parliament or unicameral legislature is a legislature which consists of a single chamber or house.

Unicameral legislatures exist when there is no widely perceived need for multicameralism. Many multicameral legislatures were created to give separate voices to different sectors of society. Multiple chambers allowed, for example, for a guaranteed representation of different social classes (as in the Parliament of the United Kingdom or the French States-General). Sometimes, as in New Zealand and Denmark, unicameralism comes about through the abolition of one of two bicameral chambers, or, as in Sweden, through the merger of the two chambers into a single one, while in others a second chamber has never existed from the beginning.

The principal advantage of a unicameral system is more democratic and efficient lawmaking, as the legislative process is simpler and there is no possibility of deadlock between two chambers. Proponents of unicameralism have also argued that it reduces costs, even if the number of legislators stays the same, since there are fewer institutions to maintain and support financially. Proponents of bicameral legislatures say that this offers the opportunity to re-debate and correct errors in either chamber in parallel, and in some cases to introduce legislation in either chamber.
