Why did the roman government have a hard time ruling the roman empire??
Xelga [282]
As Rome expanded, the people they conquered became their subjects. As such, the sheer size of Rome and the vast number of people (all of which came from different cultures with different religions and languages) made it hard for the government to successfully rule.

What is gerrymandering and how does the party in control use it to control voting districts ?
lisabon 2012 [21]
Gerrymandering is the dividing of a state, country, etc. into electoral districts so as to give one political party a majority in many districts while concentrating the voting strength of the other party into a few districts as possible.
The part in control uses it to control the voting district by “cracking” which means diluting the voting power of the opposing party’s supporters across an abundance of districts. Or use it as “packing” which means concentrating the opposing party’s voting power in one district to reduce their voting lower in other districts.

How did Rome's expansion after the Punic Wars affect Rome's social development?
OverLord2011 [107]

Answer:

D. The social order changed.

Rome suffered changes due to the wars against Carthage. The Senate had picked up in power and renown in respect to the general population's congregations, the Comitia Plebis.

The Romans rose up out of the Punic wars with the across the board understanding that the most important authority over the military lay with the Senate, that it was the Senate's business to know, exhort and control, and the Senate's business to choose the subject of war or harmony and other outside approach matters.
