Answer:

The scale used is 1 : 12500. And the scale is in centimetres

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

state park are 1000 meters from each other.

On a map,the two fields are 8 centimetres apart

To Find:

The scale used by the map = ?

Is it the metric scale?

Solution:

Actual distance between the parks is 1000 meters. But in map the distance is 8 centimetres

so the scale for map to actual distance is

8 cm : 1000 m

Now,

1 m  = 100 m

So

1000 m  = 100000 cm

Thus

8 cm : 100000 cm

On Reducing we get,

1 : 12500

pshichka [43]

Answer:

1,675.516

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for a cone is V = pi r^2 h/3.

Plugging in the values of the radius and height, V = pi 10^2 16/3

Solving, you get:

V = pi 100 5.3333333

V = 1,675.516
