Answer:

The vertex or top is ( 2, -9)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given y = (x - 5 ) * ( x + 1 )

x² - 4x - 5

See attachment.

The vertex of the parabola is the Top.

The vertex of a parabola is the point where the parabola crosses its axis of symmetry.

If the coefficient of the x² term is positive, the vertex will be the lowest point on the graph, the point at the bottom of the “ U ”-shape. If the coefficient of the x² term is negative, the vertex will be the highest point on the graph, the point at the top of the “ U ”-shape.

The standard equation of a parabola is it

y = ax² + bx + c.

But the equation for a parabola can also be written in "vertex form": y = a(x−h)² + k

In this equation, the vertex of the parabola is the point (h,k) = (2, -9)

The amount of grams of fiber that Jodi should eat to meet the recommended daily amount of fiber is 12 grams.

<h3>How many more grams of fiber should Jodi eat?</h3>

The first step is to convert milligrams to grams.

1 milligram = 0.001 grams

25,000 x 0.001 = 25

Now subtract the recommended amount from the quantity eaten:

25 - (8 + 4 + 1 ) = 12 grams

Which is the graph of f(x) = 100(0.7)x?
julia-pushkina [17]
I'm assuming the function is f(x) = 100(0.7)^x. This is the same as y = 100(0.7)^x because y = f(x).

Plug in x = 0 to get
y = 100(0.7)^x
y = 100(0.7)^0
y = 100(1)
y = 100
So (x,y) = (0,100) is one point on this function curve

Plug in x = 2 to get
y = 100(0.7)^x
y = 100(0.7)^2
y = 100(0.49)
y = 49
So (x,y) = (2,49) is another point on this curve

In summary, the two points on this function curve are (0,100) and (2,49)
