The walls are vertical so the angle opposite X would be a right angle which is 90 degrees.

X would be 180 - 90 - 35 = 55 degrees

X and 2y - 5 are complementary angles which add together to equal 90:

2y - 5 + 55 = 90

Simplify:

2y +50 = 90

Subtract 50 from both sides:

2y = 40

Divide both sides by 2:

y = 20

Answer:

x= 39 degrees

y= 20 degrees (if incorrect, try 15 degrees)

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

To get x:

Angle RED and Angle YELLOW are alternate angles meaning they're the same. Then, get y on its own by adding five (or subtracting, sorry I couldn't read it) and dividing by 2. Here you get 20 degrees (or 15 if you had to subtract).

To get y:

Angle RED and Angle BLUE are corresponding angles, also meaning they're the same. This means it is also 39 degrees.

Hope this helped!

The graph third represents the provided situation first line increases and then constant then again increases and becomes constant.

<h3>What is a line graph?</h3>

A line graph is a graph made up of segments of straight lines that connect the depicted data points.

We have:

Keisha ran to swim practice but needed to stop by her friend Natasha’s house on the way. She stayed at Natasha’s house for 15 minutes, and together they ran the rest of the way to practice, where they stayed for 1 hour.

Based on the information given we can say graph third represents the situation.

First Keisha ran to swim practice so the line first increases and then she  but needed to stop by her friend Natasha’s house on the way. She stayed at Natasha’s house for 15 minutes which means the line should be constant.

Again they both ran so line increases.

Then they both stayed for 1 hour, so the line should be constant.

Thus, the graph third represents the provided situation first line increases and then constant then again increases and becomes constant.

given the parallel lines cut by. a transversal , determine the value of x . please help due in 30 minutes
Mademuasel [1]

Answer:

x = 20

Step-by-step explanation:

The angles are same side interior angles so the add to 180

3x-10 + 5x+30 = 180

Combine like terms

8x +20 =180

Subtract 20 from each side

8x+20 -20 =180-20

8x = 160

Divide by 8

8x/8 =160/8

x = 20

Find dy/dx for 4 - xy = y^3
storchak [24]

Answer:

\frac{dy}{dx}=-\frac{y}{3y^2+x}

Step-by-step explanation:

4-xy=y^3

dy/dx=?

\frac{d(4-xy)}{dx}=\frac{d(y^3)}{dx}\\ \frac{d(4)}{dx}-\frac{d(xy)}{dx}=3y^{3-1}\frac{dy}{dx}\\ 0-(\frac{dx}{dx}y+x\frac{dy}{dx})=3y^2\frac{dy}{dx}\\ -(1y+x\frac{dy}{dx})=3y^2\frac{dy}{dx}\\ -(y+x\frac{dy}{dx})=3y^2\frac{dy}{dx}\\ -y-x\frac{dy}{dx}=3y^2\frac{dy}{dx}

Solving for dy/dx: Addind x dy/dx both sides of the equation:

-y-x\frac{dy}{dx}+x\frac{dy}{dx}=3y^2\frac{dy}{dx}+x\frac{dy}{dx} \\ -y=3y^2\frac{dy}{dx}+x\frac{dy}{dx}

Common factor dy/dx on the right side of the equation:

-y=(3y^2+x)\frac{dy}{dx}

Dividing both sides of the equation by 3y^2+x:

\frac{-y}{3y^2+x}=\frac{(3y^2+x)}{3y^2+x}\frac{dy}{dx}\\ -\frac{y}{3y^2+x}=\frac{dy}{dx}\\ \frac{dy}{dx}=-\frac{y}{3y^2+x}
