Answer:

magnetism

Explanation:

Sea floor spreading talks about how the oceanic crust have been moving apart. The rate at which the oceanic crusts are drifting apart. One of the major evidence to back up sea floor spreading is magnetism.

Scientist found out that the rocks that makes up the ocean floor follows the pattern of magnetize stripe. Remember the rocks that makes up the ocean floor are majorly basaltic and it contains iron. The rocks formation are from the solidification of molten magma . As this magma cools to form rocks the iron contents align itself with the direction of the earth magmatic poles.

Note that the earth behaves like a magnet with the north and south pole respectively. The earth magnetic pole have been changing over time.  The changes affects the direction of this magnetic rocks on the ocean floor.

You have been studying the lysosomal enzyme cathepsin D in mammalian cells. To look at the localization of the enzyme, you incor
Serjik [45]

Answer:

Explanation:

1.

Cathepsin is involved in programmed cell death, it is a lysosomal enzyme and the reason it is found in the ER fraction instead of the lysosomal fraction is because of its c terminal KDEL sequence. this sequence ia a retrieval for protein and causes a backward movement of protein back to endoplasmic reticulum. that is why cathepsin seems to have localised in ER instead of the lysosomal fraction

2 It does not bind to mannose-6-phosohate receptor because this glycosylation process does not occur in the E.R but in Golgi bodies.  because of the KDEL sequence this glycosylation of cathepsin would not occur and cathepsin would go through affinity column without any form of  binding to receptor. If cathepsin can get to the Golgi then glycolysation with Mannose6phospate can occur.

kipiarov [429]

Answer: b. deciding which assumptions to make.

Explanation:

The scientific thinking involves finding of reasons for the cause of natural events or process that occurs naturally. The art of scientific thinking is associated with the curiosity of the researchers as well as the ability to frame the assumptions based on the direct observation of the event or process. This assumption then can be tested using the experimental trials.
