An unspecified force causes a 0.20-kg object to accelerate at 0.40 m/s2. If 0.30 kg is added to the 0.20-kg object and the force

remains the same, what is the acceleration (in m/s2) of the heavier object? (NEVER include units with the answer to a numerical question.)

Answer:

a = 0.16

Explanation:

given,

mass of the object 1 = 0.2 kg

mass of the object 2 = 0.3 kg

acceleration when force is on 0.2 kg = 0.4 m/s²

acceleration when both mass are combine = ?

F = m a

F = 0.2 × 0.4

F = 0.08 N

force acting is same and total mass  = 0.2 + 0.3 = 0.5 Kg

F = m a

a = \dfrac{F}{m}

a = \dfrac{0.08}{0.5}

a = 0.16 m/s²

the acceleration acting when both the body is attached is a = 0.16

What is the value of g
Mariana [72]
It depends on the environment around you ... the number and size of
the masses around you, and your distance from their center of mass.

If you happen to be on the surface of the Earth, then

                       g  =  9.8 m/s²
       or
                       g  =  9.8 newton/kilogram .

It's different on other planets. Be sure to look it up
before you leave, so you'll know what to expect.

A rod attracts a positively charged hanging ball. the rod is?a) negativeb) positivec) neutrald) either negative or neutrale) eit
makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

The correct option is a

Explanation:

This question seeks to test a general rule in physics (on charges) which states that like charges repel but unlike charges attract. This means that, a negatively charged substance will repel or not attract another negatively charged material and the same applies to a positively charged substance also. However, a negatively charged substance will attract a positively charged material and vice versa, hence only a negatively charged rod will attract a positively charged hanging ball.
