Suppose your friend earned wages of $93,260, received $1340 in interest from a savings account, and contributed $6300 to a tax-
Kruka [31]

Answer:

Gross Income:

= Earned wages + Interest from savings + Interest on home mortgage

= 93,260 + 1,340 + 4,500

= $99,100

Adjusted gross income:

= Gross income - Tax deferred plan  - State taxes

= 99,100 - 6,300 - 1,359

= $91,441

Taxable income

= Adjusted gross income - Personal exemption - Standard deduction - Charity contribution

= 91,441 - 3,500 - 7,800 - 2,500

= $77,641

The first step a domestic firm takes when entering an international arena is usually to create an international division.
vodomira [7]

Answer:

The answer is: False

Explanation:

Whenever a company wants to go international it has a lot work to do before creating an international division. Several things must be done before, mostly research, for example:

  • Research if your product is know overseas, is there any possible market for it, are there any restraints for your products in those new markets.
  • Any legal constraint or logistical problem you have to consider.
  • Any local competition you have to worry about.
  • Does your product fit in a new culture.
  • And very many etceteras.

That should all be done before considering spending money on creating an international division.

Probably when the internet didn´t exist, communications were scarce, no Tv existed, people in one country didn´t know anything about other cultures, etc., a comp nay would have first created an international division to scout foreign markets but right now it doesn´t make sense.

Discuss and analyze a situation where you worked on a team/ project team consisting of diverse or intercultural team members
Alexeev081 [22]

Explanation:

a. What were some good and/or poor examples of communication?

Intercultural communication in the workplace can generate some significant difficulties, in an intercultural work team, there may be behaviors of certain members that differ from the rest of the group, which can mean lack of integration of the team due to lack of respect and interest to the cultural values of a particular member.

b. Discuss any examples or interpretation of cultural differences as described in Hoftstede's Cultural Values chart on p. 46 of your text (i.e. individualism, time orientation, formality, etc.).

Formality can be interpreted differently according to different cultures. In a more flexible culture like the American one, for example, formality may not be so expressed through the use of formal language and dress, whereas in a less flexible culture, this can be seen as a disrespect, as they can establish a more serious and formal communication in the workplace.

c. Is there anything that could have been done to make the communication more effective?

To make intercultural communication more effective, it is necessary above all to respect the individual values of an individual that exist in certain ways in some situations. The ideal is that people are open to learn and exchange experiences, willing to help the individual to integrate into the group, and above all to act in an ethical and respectful way always.

Naya [18.7K]

Answer:

$66,667

Explanation:

Contribution margin = Sales Revenue - Variable cost = 240000-60000 = 180000

Percentage of contribution margin = Contribution margin / sales revenue = 180000 / 240000 = 75%

Breakevent point in total sales = Fixed costs / Percentage of contribution margin

= 50000/0.75 = $66,667
