Answer:0.277

Step-by-step explanation:

Given there are three boxes i.e. A , B and C

Probability of selecting any box is P_1=\frac{1}{3}

Box A contains 2 keys out of which is 1 is correct so Probability of selecting the right key is P_2=\frac{1}{2}

Box B contains 3 keys out of which is 1 is correct so Probability of selecting the right key is P_3=\frac{1}{3}

Box C contains 2 keys out of which is 1 is correct but we cannot use it so Probability of selecting the right key is P_4=0

Probability of selecting the right key is P=P_1\times P_2+P_1\times P_2+P_1\times P_3

P=\frac{1}{3}\times \frac{1}{2}+\frac{1}{3}\times \frac{1}{3}+\frac{1}{3}\times 0

P=\frac{5}{18}

P=0.277

You might need to use the distance formula

for the distance betwen (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is
D= \sqrt{(x1-x2)^2+(y1-y2)^2}

so find disance between (-3,1) and (-1,3)
and (-1,3) and (3,1)
so
if we did input them
we would get 6+2 \sqrt{2}+2 \sqrt{5} which is the peirmiter

The first term of a geometric sequence is −2 and the common ratio is 3. What is the fourth term of the sequence?
Nat2105 [25]

Answer: -54

Step-by-step explanation:

The question is the first term of a geometric sequence is −2 and the common ratio is 3. The formula for finding the nth term of a geometric sequence is: ar^n-1

where,

a = first term = -2

r = common ratio = 3

n = number of terms = 4

The solution has been attached. The answer is -54

Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

shirts = 15 when pants = 6

15

Step-by-step explanation:

Try two others that are given

shirts / pants = 10 / 4 = 2.5

shirts / pants = 30/12 = 2.5

So shirts/pants = 2.5 = x/6

2.5 = x / 6                            Multiply by 6

2.5 * 6 = x

x = 15
