It is likely that roads would become safer and the environment would become cleaner, other taxes, such as income taxes, could be lowered and some of the government regulations that require automakers to produce more fuel-efficient cars would become unnecessary.

If the government were to impose higher taxes on gasoline all of these outcomes could happen because they all relate to the use of gasoline and how it hurt our environment. If less people were using the gas, more eco friendly vehicle options would likely be on the market.

Red Hawk Enterprises sells handmade clocks. Its variable cost per clock is $5.20, and each clock sells for $13.00. Calculate Red
OLga [1]

Answer:

Contribution margin per unit = $7.8

Contribution Margin Ratio = 60% or 0.6

Total contribution margin at 2250 units = $17550

Explanation:

The unit contribution is the difference in the unit selling price and unit variable cost for a product.

The unit contrbution margin for Red Hawk = 13 - 5.2 = $7.8 per unit

The contribution margin ratio simply represents the unit contribution margin as a percentage of selling price.

The contribution margin ratio = contribution margin per unit / selling price per unit

For Red Hawk CM Ratio = 7.8 / 13 = 0.6 or 60%

Total Contribution margin at 2250 units = 7.8 * 2250 = $17550

Westbrook's Painting Co. plans to issue a $1,000 par value, 20-year noncallable bond with a 7.00% annual coupon, paid semiannual
Helga [31]

Answer:

component cost of debt to calculate wacc = 0.7

Explanation:

given data

par value = $1000

time = 20 year

rate = 7%

tax rate = 40%

tax rate = 30 %

to find out

cost of debit use to calculate wacc

solution

we know cost of debt before tax is 7%

so when tax is 30 % cost of debt after tax is = 7% ( 1 - tax rate )

cost of debt after tax = 7% ( 1- 0.30 )

cost of debt after tax = 4.9 .......................1

and

so when tax is 40 % cost of debt after tax is = 7% ( 1 - tax rate )

cost of debt after tax = 7% ( 1- 0.40 )

cost of debt after tax = 4.2 .......................2

so

from equation 1 and 2

component cost of debt to calculate wacc = 4.9 - 4.2

component cost of debt to calculate wacc = 0.7
