Answer:

Option C is correct.

The point estimate for the proportion of hotel reservations that are canceled on the intended arrival day from which this interval was constructed = 0.08

Explanation:

Confidence Interval = (Sample Mean) ± (Margin of error)

Upper limit of the confidence interval = (Sample Mean) + (Margin of error)

Lower limit of the confidence interval = (Sample Mean) - (Margin of error)

Let Sample mean = x

Margin of error = y

(0.048, 0.112) = x ± y

x + y = 0.112

x - y = 0.048

Solving this simultaneous equation,

2x = 0.112 + 0.048 = 0.16

x = (0.16/2) = 0.08

y = 0.112 - 0.08 = 0.032

Sample mean = 0.08

Margin of Error = 0.032

So, the point estimate for the proportion of hotel reservations that are canceled on the intended arrival day from which this interval was constructed = 0.08

Hope this Helps!!!

How muscles are able to contract and relax to bring about movements?
Len [333]

There are small individual fibres in the muscles, known as musclular fibres or muscle fibers that iat the same time are formed by myofibrils.

The most common and accepted theory of how muscles contract is the sliding filament theory:

The theory says that neurons send signals to the muscle fibres, and, inside these, actin and myosin bind with each-other, contracting themselves using ATP as an energy source. That is a simple way of describing how muscle contraction occurs.

The image down below may help you understand the sliding filament concept a bit better.

Hope it helped,

All except mercury are solids at room temperature
Alenkasestr [34]
That's not a question, but I guess I'll just vomit some information at you and hope I hit a target.

First of all, not true. Unless you're talking multiple choice kind of thing.

Room temperature is 20 degrees C / 68 degrees F / 293 degrees K

At this temperature, most elements are solids, but

Mercury and bromine are liquids
Hydrogen, helium, nitrogen, oxygen, flourine, neon, chlorine, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon are all gases.

Which of the following is the product of (3x2 − 1)(x2 − 4)?
aalyn [17]
=3x14 - 13x2 + 4
Apply the FOIL method: (a+b)(c+d) = ac+ad+bc+bd
Which will look like this:
(3x2 x2 + 3x2 (-4) -1 TIMES x2 -1 TIMES (-4)
And then simplify

Hi! can someone help with this question?
arsen [322]

Answer:

Plants and animals could not live without nitrogen. It is an important part of many cells and processes such as amino acids, proteins, and even our DNA. It is also needed to make chlorophyll in plants, which plants use in photosynthesis to make their food and energy
