In order to find the area you have to multiply length x width
In this case our length and width are 12cm and 4cm
So lets multiply those. :P
12 x 4 = 48 cm

Your area = 48cm²

A red die is tossed and then a green die is tossed. What is the probability that red die shows a number larger than three and th
makkiz [27]
If you roll two fair dice, a green one and a red one?
A= are the outcomes on the dice independent?
B= Find P(1 on green die and 2 on red die)
C= Find P(2 on green die and 1 on red die)
D= Find P(1 on green die and 2 on red die) or (2 on green die and 1 on red die)

A= yes
B= p(1)*(p2)=1/6*1/6=1/36
C= p(2)*(p1)=1/36
D= 1/36=1/18 I hope it helps !

ASAP Plz what is the value of x? Plz no joking around this is from quiz 4.09: Special Right Triangles 2
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]
Ooh this is a good one!
Firstly, let's find RT so that we can solve the top triangle.
We could actually use 3 methods to find this side: 1) trig to find RT
2) trig to find ST, then Pythagorean Theorem to determine RT
3) use the special 30-60-90 right triangle rule ... hmm, I'm going with the last because it's easiest ;)

For 30-60-90 triangles, the sides are always as follows: smallest side (opposite the 30) is s, the middle side is sSR3, and the hypotenuse is 2×s
Thus, since we have the side opposite 60, it is = sSR3, so:
s \sqrt{3}  = 2 \sqrt{3}  \\ s \sqrt{3} \div  \sqrt{3}   = 2 \sqrt{3} \div  \sqrt{3}  \\ s = 2
So now, the hypotenuse (RT) = 2s = 2(2) = 4

Secondly, we are looking at the other type of special right triangle, the 45-45-90:
The side opposite the 45s are s (remember side lengths are equal whose opposite angles are equal); and the hypotenuse is always
s \sqrt{2}
we only need QR, which is s, which is also = RT
So the answer is:
QR = x = 4

x = 4 IS THE FINAL ANSWER!!!

[ i hope by my explanations you understand how better to do special right triangles in the future] :-D

Find the product of (-8) and (-13)
KiRa [710]
To find this you can always use a calculator, if your teacher allows you to. Just remember to punch in the negative signs correctly and don't mistake them for subtraction signs. Also if you don't know what product means, that means the answer of a multiplication problem so for example 9 is the product of 3x3 or 5 is the product of 5x1. The answer to your question is 104. Maybe next time you can solve it on your own! :)
