How does cell size and shape influence the diffusion of molecules into and out of the cell?

A large surface area plays a major factor for diffusion and also osmosis at some point. The larger the surface area, the more molecules are able to diffuse in and out of the cells. Think of it this way. You have 2 containers. One container have a length of 5cm by 5cm. Another container you have a 10cm by 5 cm. You have a bucket of water. Por the water into the container, it would be more easier to pour it into the 10 by 5 without spilling right. Thats because it has a larger surface area compared to the other container. Hence, the size and shape affects the influence of diffusion.
