Answer: Between 1945 and 1960, three dozen new states in Asia and Africa reached autonomy or entirely independence from their European colonial rulers. There was no one process of decolonization. In some areas, it was peaceful, and orderly. In many others, independence was achieved only after a prolonged revolution.

Explanation: After 1945 , these are some countries that reach independence: the Philippines from the USA. the transition took place on schedule in 1946 as Manuel Roxas took office as president.

After 1945, there was a very long and extremely difficult multi-party Civil War in Angola, and lesser insurrections in Mozambique.

India became independent from the British when the British voluntarily bestowed India its independence. In 1947, the British Parliament passed the Indian Independence Act, creating the new countries of India and Pakistan. Thus, India became independent through an act of Parliament.

Congo gained Independence on June 30, 1960 the Democratic Republic of the Congo, also known as Zaire was granted independence from the Belgian Government. In part, it happened when Belgium was receiving a great amount of pressure from European countries and from the Congolese people to free the Congo colony.
