Answer:

Option C, striated muscles

Explanation:

Striated muscle is of two types

a) Skeletal muscle - These muscles are attached to the bones

b) Cardiac muscle - These muscles are attached on the walls of the heart.

These two muscles have a striated appearance due to closely packed myofibrils and are sometime also referred as striated tissue. There is a layer of epimysium within its fascia that separates the muscles from the nearby structures.

Striated muscles are attached to the bones by a network of tendons and allows voluntary bone movement

Hence, option C is correct

The correct answer that would best complete the given statement above would be the third option. Bones act as a frame to which STRIATED MUSCLES are attached for movement. Striated muscle is attached to bone and produces all the movements of body parts in relation to each other. Hope this answers your question.

The cycads, a mostly tropical phylum of gymnosperms, evolved about 300 million years ago and were dominant forms during the age
ozzi

Answer:

poliinators and flagellated sperm

Explanation:

Cycads (phylum Cycadophyta) together with Ginkgophyta, Gnetophyta, Pinophyta, Pteridospermales and Cordaitales belong to the gymnosperms (naked seed-producing plants). They are different than angiosperms which produce encased seeds within an ovary.

Cycads (but also Ginkgo) produce swimming sperm that is different than all other groups which produce sperm without swimming flagella.

Also, unlike other groups of gymnosperms, cycads have specialized pollinators, beetls.

Stranded on an island, you have two sources of water to drink: salty ocean water and contaminated fresh water. explain your choi
Liono4ka [1.6K]
I would probably drink a small amount of ocean water in 20 monute intervals, to not over dehydrate myself. This would probably give me enough time to go find other sources of water on the island (eg. coconuts) tp get clean water. In my opinion, this would be a better option than drinking contaminated fresh water. There is a higher risk of getting infected by the bacteria in the water, which would be why its better to take the contaminated fresh water only as a last resort option.

I'm not really sure what I just typed but hopefully it makes some kind of sense to you☺
