Effective written communication skills are key to productive and efficient care of patients.

A badly written note may be interpreted as clumsy and disrespectful. The patient may feel uncertain of the quality of service he is given.

The healthcare practitioners should choose words that are precise and meticulous because it can be the basis to which patients understand and manage their condition. A medical assistant should ensure that the note is written clearly and properly by checking that the words are understood (especially medical terms), literal, explicit, specific.

The medical assistant should discuss the written communication with its  author, verifying the content. It is best to have the author discuss the written communication to the recipient. If not possible, ask approval to represent. Discuss to the patient the contents of the written communication, answering questions that patient may ask and ask questions to the patient to check understanding.

Which one of the following is a benefit of performing sit and reach?
Anarel [89]
The correct answer is D. All of the above. The sit and reach is a type of flexibility stretch that stretches your hamstrings. So obviously it would increase your flexibility and promote circulation. Stretching also helps with preventing injuries (I should know, I am an athlete myself).
Hope I helped!

Active listening is a critical component of effective interpersonal communication. Which is critical to being an active listener
Jet001 [13]
It is D, sharing appreciation for what is being said. Both A and B aren't crucial to being a good listener, in fact in practice they effectively draw attention to yourself, which would be fine if the question was regarding being a good conversationalist. Additionally, C is just completely irrelevant, that wouldn't even be a good conversation practice, let alone a trait important to listening.
