Answer: Erin needs to rent 15 chairs

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi, we have to write an equation for each rental's cost.

A-1 Rental charges $1.33 per chair, plus $64.42 for the tent.

Tonka Tents charges $1.58 per chair, plus $60.67 for the tent.

 • A-1 Rental's Cost = 1.33x+64.42
 • Tonka Tents Cost = 1.58x+60.67

Where x is the number of chairs.

If both costs are equal:

A-1 Rental's Cost = Tonka Tents Cost

So:

1.33x+64.42 = 1.58x+60.67

Solving for x:

64.42-60.67 = 1.58x-1.33x

3.75 = 0.25x

15 =x

What is the mathematical reasoning for Step 3?
Colt1911 [192]

Based on the operation in step 3, the mathematical reasoning that we see is the Associative property.

What is the reasoning in step 3?

Step 2 was:

= 3/4x (-8x) + (3/4x) (6)

Step 3 then became:

3/4 x (-8) × x × x + 3/4 x 6x

This shows the associative property because the numbers were regrouped but because they are being multiplied by each other, the result will not change.

Find out more on the associative property at brainly.com/question/13181.

How do I graph x is less than or equal to 4
love history [14]
First, graph the "equals" line, then shade in the correct area. There are three steps: Rearrange the equation so "y" is on the left and everything else on the right. or below the line for a "less than" (y< or y≤).
