Answer:

-12 and -5 are both integers. We can tell that they're not natural numbers or whole numbers because they're both negative, and they're not rational or irrational because they have no unsimplified decimal or fraction.

-12/-5 = 12/5 = 2.4

These numbers are not closed because they produced a number outside of their set (integers). 2.4 is not an integer. By dividing two integers you got a noninteger result, which indicates that it's not closed.

Solve for the indicated variable.
tia_tia [17]

Answer:

(A  - pi r^2)/ 2 pi r=  h

Step-by-step explanation:

A = pi r^2 + 2 pi rh

First subtract pi r^2 from each side

A  - pi r^2= pi r^2 + 2 pi rh - pi r^2

A  - pi r^2=  2 pi rh

Now divide each side by 2pi r

(A  - pi r^2)/ 2 pi r=  2 pi rh / 2pi r

(A  - pi r^2)/ 2 pi r=  h
