Answer:

-6v < -3; v> -0.5

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to find a number let say x

Given that:

-6v < x  ........... eq1

v> - 0.5 ...........  eq2

By taking equation 1

-6v < x

Dividing both sides by -6

(inequality will be inverted because of negative sign)

-6/-6 v > x/-6

v > x/-6  .........eq3

Now comparing eq2 and eq3 we get:

x/-6 = -0.5

Multiplying both sides by -6

x = -0.5 * -6

x = -3

So it will give:

-6v < -3; v> -0.5

I hope it will help you!

asambeis [7]

Answer:

Mike made $ 200.63 last Friday.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since Ms. Peralta's friend Mike is a construction worker who gets paid $ 15 an hour, and after working 9 hours he gets paid 1.25 times his hourly rate, and last Friday Mike worked for 5 hours - took an 1 hr and 15 minute break for lunch (does not count toward his work hours) - and worked for an additional 7.5 hours, to determine how much money did Mike make last Friday the following calculation must be performed:

5 + 7.5 = 12.5

12.5 - 9 = 3.5

9 x 15 + (3.5 x (15 x 1.25)) = X

135 + 3.5 x 18.75 = X

135 + 65.625 = X

200.63 = X

Therefore, Mike made $ 200.63 last Friday.

HELP!
aivan3 [116]

Answer:

1) 59.7  2) 7.1

Step-by-step explanation:

1)The diameter of a circle is 19 m. Find the circumference to the nearest tenth

The equation to find the circumference for a circle is C=2πR or C = πD. The diameter is equal to 2r so that is why the equation works either way. Now we will plug in the numbers. C =19π. This is approximately equal to 59.6902604182 which is approximately equal to 59.7

2)AND the diameter of a circle is 3ft. Find its area to the nearest tenth.

As stated before the diameter is equal to 2r. The area of a circle is calculated using the equation πr^2. First we need to find the radius which is 1/2D. 3/2 = r or 1.5 = r. Now we can plug all values in. A = π1.5^2 which equals to 2.25π which equals to 7.06858347058 which is approximately 7.1.
