Without money, they can’t pay taxes or bills, so they get kicked out of their apartment or home. Then they’d become homeless, and an aunt, uncle, or grandparent would have to take care of them and let them live with them, but handling people with depression would be too difficult, causing the relatives to overwork, not getting enough sleep.
If in your childhood, if you’re lacking something, you usually grow up and date somebody who has what was lacking/deprived in your childhood. For example, as a child if you’re poor you tend to want to date people who have money and can handle financial problems.
