Answer:

The theme of Cells & its genetic material

Explanation:

The five major biological themes are

a) Cells & its genetic material

b) Interdependence of organisms

c) Homeostasis

d) Inheritance and reproduction

e) Evolution

Out of these five themes, the theme which is violated here is the theme of cells & its genetic material.

Every living organism is made up of cell and all cells have genetic material within them in the form of DNA. During cellular division, this genetic material is transferred from the parent cell to the cell of the offspring

What is the number of helixes in a double chromosome? What is a centromere, and what is a homologous pair? What is the end resul
fgiga [73]
1) Four Helixes in a double chromosome [ 2 for each strand ]

2) Centromere is t<span>he region of a chromosome to which the microtubules of the spindle attach, via the kinetochore, during cell division.

3) </span><span>A </span>homologous pair<span> is a </span>pair<span> of chromosomes containing a maternal and paternal chromatid joined to together at the centromere

4) End result = 12 pair of chromosome which is unindentical to each other.

5) Crossing over is </span><span>the exchange of genes between homologous chromosomes, resulting in a mixture of parental characteristics in offspring.

Crossing over occurs during prophase I in nucleus of the cell [ as it is operation of chromosomes ]

</span>Crossing over<span> creates new combinations of genes in the gametes that are not found in either parent, contributing to genetic diversity. So, it is so important for Genetic diversity

I believe that the answer to this question is B because of the fact that convection can pull the plate tectonics away from, grind against, or go above each other! I hope that you post many more questions on brainly and for more info on plate tectonics comment and I'll let you know more!

1. The right answer is electron.

The electron, one of the components of the atom with neutrons and protons, is an elementary particle that has an elementary charge of negative sign. It is fundamental in chemistry because it participates in almost all types of chemical reactions and is an essential element of the bonds present in molecules.

The mass of an electron is 9.109 × 10-31 kg. The electron is about 2000 times lighter than the proton and neutron in the nucleus. The masses of the proton and the neutron are almost identical (10-27 kg).

2. The right answer is rapidly moving electrons.

The chemical, physical and electrical properties of an atom are related to the number of protons in the nucleus, which determines the number of electrons in the electron cloud.

The electron cloud is formed of electrons rotating at high speed around the nucleus in very complex trajectories. The electronic cloud is composed of electrons so its electric charge is always negative.

3. The right answer is Atoms of the same element can have different numbers of neutrons.

Isotopes (of a certain chemical element) are called the nuclides sharing the same number of protons (characteristic of this element), but having a different number of neutrons.

So what characterizes an element is the number of protons.

By extension, isotope is often called a nuclide characterized by its number of protons Z and its number of neutrons N (or its mass number A = Z + N), but without distinction regarding its spin or energy state.

4. The right answer is 8.

The atomic number (Z) is the term used in chemistry and physics to represent the number of protons in an atom. An atom can be schematized as a first approach by a compact agglomeration (atomic nucleus) of protons (p +) and neutrons (n), around which circulate electrons (e-).

5. The right answer is 18.

The relative atomic mass (or atomic weight) is the mass of an atom in particular or a chemical element in general (in which case an isotopic mixture is envisaged) expressed as a multiple of a reference elementary mass that wants to be close to that of a single nucleon. Indeed the mass of an atom is proportional in first approximation to the number of its nucleons (protons and neutrons), said number of mass.

Mutations can cause instant adaptations, while natural selection is the process by which adaptations occurs over a series of gen
crimeas [40]

Assuming this is the question "What is the relationship between mutation, natural selection, and adaptation?" ...

Adaptations are changes or processes of changes by which an organism or species becomes better suited for its environment.

A mutation is an alteration of the DNA sequence. Sometimes such alterations code for the same amino acid sequence as the unaltered DNA strand during protein synthesis. In such a circumstance, the mutation is not detectable. However, other mutations alter the genetic code in such a way that a noticeable change in the trait that is associated with that gene is visible. Sometimes such mutations are advantageous and improve the organism's ability to survive in its environment.

Natural selection is the process by which organisms with more advantageous traits (being camouflaged, being covered with the correct outer covering for the temperatures of that environment, stronger/ larger/ or faster to fight off or run from predators, etc.) are more likely to survive in a particular environment. Likewise, organisms less advantageous traits are more likely to die due to the pressures exerted by the environment (such as temperature, predators, illness, etc.). Therefore, the organisms with the advantageous traits that survive are more likely to survive to find a mate and reproduce. Thus, the advantageous traits are passed down to future generations.
