The mean annual premium for automobile insurance in the United States is $1503 (Insure website, March 6, 2014). Being from Penns

ylvania, you believe automobile insurance is cheaper there and wish to develop statistical support for your opinion. A sample of 25 automobile insurance policies from the state of Pennsylvania showed a mean annual premium of $1440 with a standard deviation of s = $165. If required, enter negative values as negative numbers.
a. Develop a hypothesis test that can be used to determine whether the mean annual premium in Pennsylvania is lower than the national mean annual premium. H 0: μ H a: μ
b. What is a point estimate of the difference between the mean annual premium in Pennsylvania and the national mean (to the nearest dollar)? $ c. At = .05, test for a significant difference by completing the following. Calculate the value of the test statistic (to 2 decimals). The p-value is What is your conclusion?

Answer:

It is not evident the mean annual premium in Pennsylvania is lower than the national mean annual premium

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that annual premium for automobile insurance in the United States  (Insure website, March 6, 2014), are as follows:

Mean 1440.00

SD 165.00

SEM 33.00

N 25

a) H_0: \bar x = 1503\\H_a: \bar x

(left tailed test at 5% level)

b) a point estimate of the difference between the mean annual premium in Pennsylvania and the national mean

=1440-1503\\=-103

c)    df = 24

 standard error of difference = 33.000

t = 1.9091

The   95% confidence interval of this difference:

From -131.11 to 5.11

p value = 0.0683

Since p >0.05, we accept H0

It is not evident the mean annual premium in Pennsylvania is lower than the national mean annual premium

Newton uses two properties ti rewrite the expression (4x23)x25 identify the properties he used why would Newton use these proper
valentinak56 [21]

The two properties newton used to rewrite the <em>expression </em>are;

<u><em>- Associative Property; Because it involves change of grouping of numbers in the expression.</em></u>

<u><em>- Distributive Property; Because it involves distribution of a number outside a bracket to numbers inside that same bracket.</em></u>

  • This involves algebraic <em>properties</em>. There are 3 major types that work on only addition and multiplication namely;

- Associative Property

- Commutative Property

- Distributive Property

Let us define each of them;

1) Associative Property; This property in algebra is one that means that no

matter how we group the numbers, we will still get the same result. e.g.

x + (y + z) = (x + y) + z.

2) Commutative Property; This property means that we can change the

order of <em>operation</em> and still get the same answer. For example;

p × q × r = p × r × q

3) Distributive Property; This property means that multiplying the sum of

two or more which are in a bracket by a number outside the will be equal to

the answer gotten when we multiply each number in the bracket

individually by the number outside and then adding their respective

products together. For example; p(q + r) = (p * q) + (p * r)

Newton has the expression; (4 × 23) × 25

Since it is multiplication, he can use any of the three properties above but let us use the <em>associative and distributive properties </em> as they are most suited to this expression<em>.</em>

  • For the <em><u>associative property</u></em> as shown above, he will arrive at;

(4 × 23) × 25 = 4 × (23 × 25)

  • For the <u><em>distributive property</em></u> as shown above, he will arrive at;

(4 × 23) × 25 = (25 × 4) + (25 × 23)

In triangleABC, angle B= 90 degrees, cos(C)=15/17 and AB = 16 what is the measure of Angle A, Angle C and angle AC
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer:

m∠C=28°, m∠A=62°, AC=34.1 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Given In ΔABC, m∠B = 90°, , and AB = 16 units. we have to find m∠A, m∠C, and AC.

As,  cos(C)={15}/{17}

⇒ angle C=cos^{-1}(\frac{15}{17})=28.07^{\circ}\sim28^{\circ}

By angle sum property of triangle,

m∠A+m∠B+m∠C=180°

⇒ m∠A+90°+28°=180°

⇒ m∠A=62°

Now, we have to find the length of AC

sin 28^{\circ}=\frac{AB}{AC}

⇒ AC=\frac{16}{sin 28^{\circ}}=34.1units

The length of AC is 34.1 units

Answer:

f=10

Step-by-step explanation:

I don't know a formula for this but I can see that <CRE is a 90° angle so 7f+2f=90 and if f=10 7f=70 and 2f=20 which fits
