Explanation

5 students got 6 mark each, 4 students got 7 marks each, 7 students got 8 marks each, 10 students got 9 marks each and 4 students got 10 marks each.

(a) Range is the difference of highest mark and lowest mark. Here, the highest mark is 10 and lowest mark is 6.

So, the range of mark = 10-6 = 4

(b) Total number of students in the group = 5+4+7+10+4= 30

(c) Mean is the simple average. So, for finding the Mean, we will divide the total marks obtained by all students by the total number of students.

Total marks obtained by all students

= (6*5)+(7*4)+(8*7)+(9*10)+(10*4)\\ \\  = 30+28+56+90+40 = 244

So, the Mean mark of the group =\frac{244}{30}=8.13333....

The maximum flow of water in a pipe is modeled by the formula Q=Av, where A is the cross-sectional area of the pipe and V is the
Ira Lisetskai [31]
For this case we have the following equation:
Q = Av
Where the area is given by:
A = pi * r ^ 2
A = pi * (d / 2) ^ 2
A = (pi / 4) * d ^ 2
Substituting we have:
Q = ((pi / 4) * d ^ 2) v
From here, we clear the diameter:
d = root ((4 / pi) * (Q / v))
Substituting values we have:
d = root ((4 / pi) * (50/600))
d = 0.36 feet
Answer:

The diameter of a pipe that allows a maximum flow of 50ft ^ 3 / min of water flowing at a velocity of 600ft / min is:

d = 0.36 feet

svp [43]
Simple...

y=x^{2} -9

y= x^{2} -9

It's quite easy to see x^{2} = x^{2}

Thus, any value of x makes the equation true.

Thus, your answer.
