Because JKLM is a parallelogram, MT = TK.

MT: 8y + 18
TK : 12y - 10

MT = TK
8y + 18 = 12y - 10
8y - 12y = -10 -18
-4y = -28
y = -28/-4
y = 7

MT: 8y + 18 → 8(7) + 18 = 56 + 18 = 74
TK : 12y - 10 → 12(7) -10 = 84 - 10 = 74

The value of y is 7.

We need to solve for the value of y in the given parallelogram where the measurements of segments MT and TK are given. We observed in the given figure, the two opposite parallel sides are equal in length such as length JK = length LM and length LK = length MJ.
Based on this evaluation, we can also say that the two diagonals are equal in length. Thus, we can write an expression:
segment MK = segment JL
replacing it with the given expression, we have:
8y + 18 = 12y -10
Transpose -10 to the left side and transpose 8y to the right side such as:
18 + 10 = 12y -8y
28 = 4y
divide both sides by 4, we have:
28 / 4 = 4y /4
7 = y

The value of y is 7".

I need help finding x
Nastasia [14]
All sides of a triangle add up to 180 degrees. Since we know one angle is 93 degrees, we know that the top part is going to equal 180 degrees. We know that two of those measurements are 93 and 45, so we add those together to get 138. We subtract this from 180 to find the missing angle, which is 42 degrees. So, the left side of the triangle is equivalent to 45 degrees and the right side (x) is 42 degrees. 93 + 45 + 42 = 180. If it was asking for the measurements of the supplementary angles to the bottom angles of the triangle, then those would be (for 45) 135 and (for 42) 138, that way both angles and their supplements add up to 180 each. I hope this helps and that it’s right

Someone please help me answer this!!
marin [14]

Answer:

c = 85 in is the answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

a = 36 in

b = 77 in

c = ?

According to the Pythagoras theorem,

a² + b² = c²

36² + 77² = c²

1296 + 5929 = c²

7225 = c²

c = 85 in

∴ c = 85 in is the length of the missing leg.
