Consider the cascade of the three LTI systems having impulse responses: h-1(t) = e^-tu(t + 3) h_2(t) = rect((1 -1)/2) h_3(t) = d
omeli [17]

Explanation:

There are two ways to find out the equivalent impulse response of the system.

1. Convolution in time domain

2. Simple multiplication in Laplace domain

2nd method is efficient, easy and is less time consuming.

Step 1: Take the Laplace transform of the given three impulse response functions to convert time domain signals into s-domain

Step 2: Once we get signals in s-domain, multiply them algebraically to get the equivalent s-domain response.

Step 3: Take inverse Laplace transform of the equivalent impulse response to convert from s-domain into time domain.

Solution using Matlab:

Step 1: Take Laplace Transform

Ys1 = 1/(s + 1)

Ys2 = 1/s - exp(-s/2)/s

Ys3 = exp(-3*s)

Step 2: Multiplication in s-domain

Y = (exp(-(7*s)/2)*(exp(s/2) - 1))/(s*(s + 1))

Step 3: Inverse Laplace Transform (Final Solution in Time Domain)

h = heaviside(t - 7/2)*(exp(7/2 - t) - 1) - heaviside(t - 3)*(exp(3 - t) - 1)

In details and step-by-step, show how you apply the Bubble Sort algorithm on the following list of values. Your answer should sh
astraxan [27]

( 12 17 18 19 25 )

Explanation:

First Pass:

( 19 18 25 17 12 ) –> ( 18 19 25 17 12 ), Here, algorithm compares the first two elements, and swaps since 19 > 18.

( 18 19 25 17 12 ) –> ( 18 19 25 17 12 ), Now, since these elements are already in order (25 > 19), algorithm does not swap them.

( 18 19 25 17 12 ) –> ( 18 19 17 25 12 ), Swap since 25 > 17

( 18 19 17 25 12 ) –> ( 18 19 17 12 25 ), Swap since 25 > 12

Second Pass:

( 18 19 17 12 25 ) –> ( 18 19 17 12 25 )

( 18 19 17 12 25 ) –> ( 18 17 19 12 25 ), Swap since 19 > 17

( 18 17 19 12 25 ) –> ( 18 17 12 19 25 ), Swap since 19 > 12

( 18 17 12 19 25 ) –> ( 18 17 12 19 25 )

Third Pass:

( 18 17 12 19 25 ) –> ( 17 18 12 19 25 ), Swap since 18 > 17

( 17 18 12 19 25 ) –> ( 17 12 18 19 25 ), Swap since 18 > 12

( 17 12 18 19 25 ) –> ( 17 12 18 19 25 )

( 17 12 18 19 25 ) –> ( 17 12 18 19 25 )

Fourth Pass:

( 17 12 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 ), Swap since 17 > 12

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 ), Swap since 18 > 12

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 )

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 )

Now, the array is already sorted, but our algorithm does not know if it is completed. The algorithm needs one whole pass without any swap to know it is sorted.

Fifth Pass:

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 )

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 )

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 )

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 )

A satellite would have a mass of 270 kg on the surface of Mars. Determine the weight of the satellite in pounds if it is in orbi
koban [17]

Answer:

26 lbf

Explanation:

The mass of the satellite is the same regardless of where it is.

The weight however, depends on the acceleration of gravity.

The universal gravitation equation:

g = G * M / d^2

Where

G: universal gravitation constant (6.67*10^-11 m^3/(kg*s))

M: mass of the body causing the gravitational field (mass of Earth = 6*10^24 kg)

d: distance to that body

15000 miles = 24140 km

The distance is to the center of Earth.

Earth radius = 6371 km

Then:

d = 24140 + 6371 = 30511 km

g = 6.67*10^-11 * 6*10^24 / 30511000^2 = 0.43 m/s^2

Then we calculate the weight:

w = m * a

w = 270 * 0.43 = 116 N

116 N is 26 lbf

As the impurity concentration in solid solution of a metal is increased, the tensile strength:________.a) decreasesb) increasesc
valkas [14]

Answer:

Increases

Explanation:

By inhibiting the motion of dislocations by impurities in a solid solutions, is a strengthening mechanism. In solid solutions it is atomic level strengthening resulting from resistance to dislocation motion. Hence, the strength of the alloys can differ with respect to the precipitate's property. Example, the precipitate is stronger (ability to an obstacle to the dislocation motion) than the matrix and it shows an improvement of strength.
