We can find the area of the big triangle, and subtract it from the small 4 x 2 triangle.

bh/2
3*8/2
12

bh/2
2*4/4
4

12 - 8
4 unit²

To find the perimeter:
a² + b² = c²
9 + 64 = c²
73 = c²
√73 = c

√73 + 3 + 8 + 2  + 4
√73 + 17

Hope this helps!

irga5000 [103]

Answer:

480 students want more field trips.

60 students is 10%.

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 600 students, and 80% want more field trips.

A manufacturing company produces parts that are good (90%), partially defective (2%), or completely defective (8%). These parts
Schach [20]

Answer:

The probability that a part is good given that it passed the inspection machine is P=0.978.

Step-by-step explanation:

As the inspection machine detect and discard any part that is completely defective, only the good and partially defective parts passed this inspection.

Then, if we have:

Probability of being a good part P(G)=0.90

Probability of being a patially defective part P(P)=0.02

Probability of being a completely defective part P(D)=0.08.

Probability of passing the inspection machine = 1-P(D)=1-0.08=0.92

Then, the probability of having a good part, given that it passed the inspection machine is:

P(G|Pass)=P(G)/P(Pass)=0.90/0.92=0.978

What is the answer to this question?
WARRIOR [948]

Answer: Lower right corner

============================================

Explanation:

The information that the temperature rises 3 degrees per hour will tell us the slope here. The slope is rise/run = 3/1 = 3. Each time we move up 3 on the y axis, we move 1 spot to the right.

As you can see in the bottom right hand corner graph, we start off at a temperature of 20 degrees. This is the point (x,y) = (0,20)

Then one hour later (x = 1), the temperature y bumps up to y = 23. Another hour passes by (x = 2) and y becomes y = 26. And so on.
