An event measured in days would be something long enough that to measure it in hours would be too big of a number. For example, the Olympics could be measured in days because it takes place over the course of several weeks, so keeping track of Day 1, Day 2, etc. would make more sense than counting by hours.

Franco and Marcia getting high speed Internet access at the same time. Francos provider charges $60 for installation and $42.95
In-s [12.5K]

Answer:

4 months

Step-by-step explanation:

Franco's provider = 60 + 42.95x

Marshal's provider = 57.95x

Where,

x = number of months

Equate both charges

Franco's provider = Marshal's provider

60 + 42.95x = 57.95x

Subtract 42.95x From both sides

60 + 42.95x - 42.95x = 57.95x - 42.95x

60 = 15x

Divide both sides by 15

60 / 15 = 15x / 15

4 = x

x = 4 Months

Franco and Marshal would have paid the same amount for high-speed Internet service after 4 months

I NEED ANSWER ASAP! I WILL GIVE BRAINELIEST!!!!!! Construct a right triangle whose legs are in the ratio 3:4. What are the ratio
Gala2k [10]

Answer:

3 : 5, 4: 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the common multiplier of the given ratios be x.

Therefore, lengths of the legs of right triangle would be 3x and 4x

By Pythagoras Theorem:

{hyp}^{2}  =  {(3x)}^{2}  +  {(4x)}^{2}   \\  = 9 {x}^{2}  + 16 {x}^{2}  \\  = 25 {x}^{2}  \\  hyp =  \sqrt{25 {x}^{2} }  \\ hyp = 5x \\  \\ ratios \:  of each \:  leg  \: to  \: the \:  hypotenuse \\  \frac{3x}{5x}  = 3  : 5 \\  \\  \frac{4x}{5x}  = 4 : 5
