r=AB=AC=BC, AD=r/2, ED=DF=CD=squareroot(3.r)/2

The area of square is : (EF)^2=(squareroot(3.r))^2=3r^3

The area of circle is : (pi.r^2)

The ratio will be: 3/pi

28 more than a number ?
siniylev [52]

Answer:

28 + x

Step-by-step explanation:

To write this as an expression, you need to find out what sign you need to use ( multiplication, division,etc.)

More than means to add so you are using an addition sign. Now you need a variable to represent the number.

You can pick any letter but for this I am using x. When you put that all together you get the expression, 28 + x.

The bases of the prism below are right triangles. The volume of the prism is 3360 units33 . Find the height of the prism.
lana66690 [7]

Answer:

14

Explanation:

Given:

Volume of the prism = 3360 units^3

To find:

The height of the prism

We'll use the below formula to determine the height(h) of the prism;

\begin{gathered} Volume(V)=Area(A)\text{ of the triangular base * Height\lparen H\rparen of the prism} \\ V=(\frac{b*h}{2})*H \\ 3360=(\frac{16*30}{2})*H \\ 3360=240*H \\ H=\frac{3360}{240} \\ H=14 \end{gathered}

So the height of the prism is 14
