Ok so assuming the 0 means minus from typing problems

x^2-10x=-8

to completet  the square
make sure the term in front of x^2 is 1
that is correct
then take 1/2 of the term in front of the x term and square it
-10/2=-5, (-5)^2=25
add that to both sides
x^2-10x+25=17

answer is the first equation

Larry earns $11.25/hour selling televisions. He also earns 4.5% commission on his sales. What is his
monitta

Answer:

C) $573.75

Step-by-step explanation:

We can come up with the equation of this Gross Weekly pay as:

P(t)=11.25t+0.045S

Where P is the amount Larry will get paid, t is the time worked and S is the amount of sales he generated that week.  This was derived from the fact that 11.25 is the slope and 0.045S is the y-intercept.  By plugging in those values we have:

P(35)=11.25(35)+0.045(4000)=573.75

C) $573.75

Can someone please help me factor this
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

Answer:

\huge\boxed{\bf\:1}

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{ x  ^ { 2  }  -4x+3  }{ x  ^ { 2  }  -7x+12  }   \times   \frac{ x  ^ { 2  }  +2x-24  }{ x  ^ { 2  }  +5x-6  }    ^ {   }

Take \frac{ x  ^ { 2  }  -4x+3  }{ x  ^ { 2  }  -7x+12  } & factorise it at first.

\frac{ x  ^ { 2  }  -4x+3  }{ x  ^ { 2  }  -7x+12  }   \\= \frac{\left(x-3\right)\left(x-1\right)}{\left(x-4\right)\left(x-3\right)}\\= \frac{x-1}{x-4}

Now factorise the next set : \frac{ x  ^ { 2  }  +2x-24  }{ x  ^ { 2  }  +5x-6  }    ^ {   }.

\frac{ x  ^ { 2  }  +2x-24  }{ x  ^ { 2  }  +5x-6  }    ^ {   }\\= \frac{\left(x-4\right)\left(x+6\right)}{\left(x-1\right)\left(x+6\right)}\\=  \frac{x-4}{x-1}

Now, multiply the two simplified results.

\frac{ x  ^ { 2  }  -4x+3  }{ x  ^ { 2  }  -7x+12  }   \times   \frac{ x  ^ { 2  }  +2x-24  }{ x  ^ { 2  }  +5x-6  }    ^ {   }\\= \frac{x-1}{x-4}\times \frac{x-4}{x-1} \\= \frac{\left(x-1\right)\left(x-4\right)}{\left(x-4\right)\left(x-1\right)} \\= \boxed{\bf\: 1}
