Craig's parents were permissive when he was a child and mostly let him spend his time as he liked. Now that he is 14, they are b
ecoming stricter. They do not let him make decisions about what to do with his free time, and they closely monitor his activities. How is Craig likely to respond to this shift?
Craig was let to do what he liked as a child. This was a time it would have been easier to channel and shape the behaviour of Craig. This was the opposite. Therefore Craig has grown in an environment where he was able to do as he pleased and has become accustomed to it. Now that he has grown older it would be quite difficult to make him change or obey his parents in this case
Why? Kids learn faster and can be taught more easily than adults. This is because the prefrontal cortex of the brain which is where working memory is stored is more developed in adults than in children.
