Why is the lithosphere the most important component of our environment.
Nitella [24]

The lithosphere is the outermost sphere of the solid Earth, consisting of the crust and the upper part of the mantle. The lithosphere is largely important because it is the area that the biosphere (the living things on earth) inhabit and live upon.

If it weren't for the tectonic plates of the lithosphere there would be no change on Earth. Tectonic plates shift due to convection currents lower down in the mantle, and this can cause the formation of mountains, the eruption of volcanoes, and earthquakes. While this can be devastating in the short-run, long term benefits are the formation of new plant life, the creation of new habitats and encouraging adaptation.

It is also the source of almost all of our resources, and is rich in elements like iron, aluminium, calcium, copper and magnesium, which humans have used for tools and machinery for millennia.

When the biosphere interacts with the lithosphere, organic compounds can become buried in the crust, and dug up as oil, coal or natural gas that we can use for fuels.

In combination with the atmosphere and hydrosphere (water), it provides a stable source of nutrients for botanical life, which produce glucose that higher organisms use for sustenance.

Central America’s three landform regions are the mountainous core, Caribbean lowlands, and Pacific coastal plain. Which statemen
Andrew [12]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

 • Three significant landform districts make up Central America - the sloping center, the Caribbean swamps, and the Pacific beach front plain each landform locale has its very own atmosphere.
 • The Caribbean is comprised of around 7,000 islands encompassed by the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico.
 • Its atmosphere is a tropical one. Its stormy season ordinarily happens among May and October. The bumpy districts of Central America offer cooler atmospheres.
 • The primary general climatic sorts of PNW are calm: both moderate and four seasons, however rugged and dry atmospheres involve a great part of the less possessed or inland regions of the locale.
 • A maritime atmosphere happens in most coastal regions, normally between the sea and high mountain ranges.

In 2000, a population
Vika [28.1K]

Answer:

The population of the city will reach 2 million people in 2025.

Explanation:

The city in question has one million people. The doubling time of the population is estimated at 25 years. Double of one million is two million, and with the population being one million in 2000, 2025 will be the year when the city will have a population of two million since the doubling time is 25 years.

s Doubling of the population in 25 years is not something that happens rarely, but it mostly happens in smaller cities or towns, as the population needed for doubling the preexisting one shouldn't be that large. A city of one million people to double its population in just 25 years is another story. Such a scenario will mean a highly centralized region, with most of the region getting depopulated, while the city in question gets a huge amount of new residents, causing a lot of urbanistic challenges.

asambeis [7]

The S wave arrived at approximately 12 seconds while the P wave arrived at approximately 7 seconds.

How to calculate the distance?

It should be noted that one can calculate the distance using the seismic travel time.

It can be deduced that the S wave arrived at approximately 12 seconds while the P wave arrived at approximately 7 seconds.

The time difference will be:

= 12 - 7

= 5
