Answer: Slope would be,

-\frac{x^2}{y^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the given curve,

x^3 + y^3=C^3

\implies x^3 + y^3 - C^3=0

In Barrow's method,

Steps are as follows,

Step 1 : put, x = x - e, y = y - a

(x-e)^3 + (y-a)^3 - C^3=0

x^3-3x^2e+3xe^2-e^3+y^3-3y^2a+3ya^2-a^3+C^3=0

Step 2 : Reject terms which do not contain a or e,

-3x^2e+3xe^2-e^3-3y^2a+3ya^2-a^3=0

Step 3 : Reject all terms in which a or e have exponent greater than 1,

-3x^2e-3y^2a=0

Step 4 : Find the ratio of a : e,

-3y^2a=3x^2e

\implies \frac{a}{e}=-\frac{x^2}{y^2}

Hence, the slope of the given curve is -\frac{x^2}{y^2}

Two integers, a and b have product of -48 what is the greatest possible sum of a and b.
dusya [7]
The factors of 48 are:
1 x 48
2 x 24
3 x 16
4 x 12
6 x 8
and visa versa:   48 x 1  etc.

To make the product negative, one of the factors has to be positive and one has to be negative.  To find the greatest sum, make the bigger number the positive factor and the smaller number the negative factor.  So, -1 x 48 = -48 and the sum of -1 + 48 = 47 which would be the greatest possible sum.

The Brown Office Rental Company has purchased a new computer for the secretary to use for customer requests. She can type 70 wor
Vladimir [108]
First you want to find how many words she types per hour.
There are 60 minutes in 1 hour.
So multiply 70 words/min times 60 min/ 1 hr to cancel out the minutes.
You will get 4200 words / hr
Then multiply 4200 by 4 and 5
use * as multiplication symbol
4200 words/hr * 4 = 16,800 words/hr
4200 words/hr * 5 = 21,000 words/hr
She will type 16,800 - 21,000 words/hr

So Your answer is going to be letter G
