For number one: the old and new medicine aways included some type of plant and sometimes they both didn’t work. For number two: the new medicine includes the actual virus in it for example the flu shot has a little bit of the flu in it and back in the old days they didn’t do that. I only know number one and two so sorry but hope this helps and this wasn’t from google
