I have ploughed and planted, and gathered into barns, and no man could head me!Which statement best explains why this is an exam
Bess [88]

Answer:

The statement shows that Truth's experiences support her claims.

Explanation:

Sojourner Truth was a powerful voice for human rights.

<u>In 1851, Truth delivered a speech "Ain't I a woman?", at the Woman's Rights Convention which was held in Ohio. </u>

<u>In her speech, she addresses a man who claims that women need help in their works. But, she says that she did work without the help of any men and asks "ain't she a woman?"</u>

The persuasive language that Truth had used in her speech is 'an appeal to credibility".

An appeal to credibility is a type of persuasion in which the audience sees the credibility of the speaker, of how much the speaker knows about what he/she is speaking about.

<u>The given statement reveals that Truth's experiences of her life support her claims that she is making. </u>

How was the term "sly as a fox" born?
irakobra [83]
“Sly as a fox" has been a traditional saying for hundreds of years. It means that someone is particularly crafty or tricky. If you're as sly as a fox, you are experienced and cunning and can usually get whatever you want, sometimes by underhanded means.
Long ago, fables, such as Aesop's The Fox and the Crow, portrayed the fox as a creature that was very crafty and cunning as a hunter. Although there are plenty of other animals that are cunning hunters, the fox became associated with trickery.
I hope this helps!
