Coordination number is the number of ligands either neutral or anionic surrounding the Metal atom in complex.

Here Coordination number is 5, means five NH₃ are attached to Ni atom.

                                              [Ni (NH₃)₅]

The charge on sphere is the charge carried by Ni atom which is +2.
So,
                                             [Ni (NH₃)₅]⁺²
                                  Pentaamine Nickle (II) Ion

Answer:

An atom's coordination number in a molecule refers to the number of atoms attached with the central atom. The coordination number in chemistry illustrates the number of neighbor atoms in regard to a central atom. The coordination number can differ from as low as two to as high as sixteen. The value of the coordination number relies upon the comparative sizes of the central atoms and the ligands and by the charge from the ion's electronic configuration.

The NH₃ is a neutral ligand. Thus, the formula for a complex produced in between Ni²⁺ and NH₃ with a coordination number 5 will be [Ni(NH₃)₅]²⁺.

An equimolar mixture of acetone and ethanol is fed to an evacuated vessel and allowedto come to equilibrium at 65°C and 1.00 atm
frutty [35]

The question is incomplete, the table of the question is given below

Answer:

I) xA= 0.34, yA= 0.55

ii) 76.2 mole % vapor

iii) Percentage of vapor volume = 98%

Explanation:

i) xA= 0.34, yA= 0.55

 xA= 0.34, yA= 0.55

ii)      0.50 = 0.55 nv + 0.34 nL

Therefore, nV =    0.762 mol vapor and nL = 0.238 mol liquid

This shows 76.2 mole % vapor

iii)  ρA= 0.791 g/cm3 and,  ρE = 0.789 g/cm3

Therefore, ρ = 0.790 g/cm3

Now, we have:

MA = 58.08 g/mol and ME= 46.07 g/mol

So Ml = (0.34 x 58.08)+[(1 -0.34) x 46.07] = 50.15 g/mol

1 mol liquid = (0.762 mol vapor/0.238 mol liquid) = 3.2 mol vapor

Liquid volume = Vl= [1 mol x (50.15 g/mol)] / (0.790 g/cm3) = 63.48 cm3

Vapour volume = Vv = 3.2 mol x(22400 cm3/mol) x [(65+273)/273] = 88747 cm3

Therefore, percentage of vapour volume = 88747 / (88747+63.48) = 99.9 %

Two hydraulic cylinders are connected. If the diameter of one piston is twice the other, the how does the pressure experienced b
Aneli [31]

Answer:

They experience the same pressure

Explanation:

To answer this question, we recall Pascal's, Law Pascal's law states that  an increase in pressure at a point in a confined cylinder containing a fluid, there is also an equal increase at all other points in that cylinder.

According to Pascal's law the pressure if the pressure expereienced by the larger diameter piston increases, the pressure experienced by the smaller diameter piston also increases by the same amount

However considering that pressure = Force/area F1/A1 =F2/A2

thus where A1 = πD²÷4 and A2 = πD²÷ 16 we have

we have F1×4/πD² = F2×16/πD² or F1 = 4× F2

They experience the same pressure but the larger cylinder delivers four times the force transmitted from he outside to the smaller cylinder

Why doesn't water change into ice at 10 degree Celsius?
Dvinal [7]

The fusion on water is an enxothermic change but at this temp, the temp-entropy product is outweighed by the change in enthalpy.
