Cross a parent that is homozygous recessive for both traits (bbee) with a dihybrid (BbEe). First, draw a Punnett square in your

notes. For each offspring in the Punnett square, determine the phenotype. In other words, what are the fur color and eye color? Finally, use that information to fill in the predicted fraction of each phenotype in the data table below. Predict Results with Linked Genes Black Fur and Black Eyes Black Fur and Red Eyes White Fur and Black Eyes White Fur and Red Eyes Predicted Fraction /16 /16 /16 /16

In this question, one parent is homozygous recessive (bbee) and other parent is  dihybrid (BbEe)
B - black fur dominant trait
b - white fur recessive
E- black eyes dominant
e - red eyes recessive

a punnett square shows all the possible combinations of genotypes with the corresponding phenotypes that the offspring could inherit.
the genotypes and their phenotypes for the offspring are given below ;
BBEE / BbEe / BbEE / BBEe  - black fur and black eyes
Bbee / BBee - black fur and red eyes
bbee - white fur and red eyes
bbEe / bbEE - white fur and black eyes

after analysing the punnett square the following results are obtained;
black fur and black eyes - BbEe- 4/16
black fur and red eyes -Bbee -  4/16
white fur and black eyes - bbEe -  4/16
white fur and red eyes -bbee -  4/16

Which is the most likely outcome for a species of fish that lacks the genetic variation necessary to adapt to a changing ocean e
ZanzabumX [31]
Genetic variation is the variation in the DNA sequence in the genome of an organisms. Organisms of a species have similar characteristics but they are not identical due to genetic variation. Genetic variation is important in the survival and the adaptability of a given species of organism. Therefore, in this case lack of genetic variation necessary to adapt to change in the environment will lead to extinction of the fish species that lacks the variation.
