Meiosis is a reductional division that produces haploid cells from diploid existing cells. Male and female gametes such as sperms and egg cells are haploid. Sperms are produced by meiosis in spermatogonia. The egg cell is produced by meiosis in oogonium. The liver cell is a diploid cell and is produced by mitosis. Mitosis maintains the DNA content and genetic information of the parent cells into the daughter cells.
It is a main part of limbic system and process emotions. It is a cluster of neurons called as<em> basolateral complex</em> that are specialized for emotion processing.
