3.3-×=3(x-1.7) I need help on this

Mathematics

So as before:
do the same to both sides
with one unknown, get it on  one side so

3.3-x=3(x-1.7)
so distribute meaning multiply x and -1.7 by 3 (remember that negative times positive =negative)

3.3-x=3x-5.1
I usually like positive unknowns so
add x to both sides
3.3=4x-5.1
add 5.1 to both sides
8.4=4x
divide both sides by 4
2.1=x

3.3- x = 3( x-1.7) 3.3 - x = 3x - 5.1 8.4=3x+x 8.4=4x 8.4/4=x x=2.1

Recall that two angles are complementary if the sum of their measures is 90 degrees°. find the measures of two complementary ang
Julli [10]
Let x represent the smaller angle. Then the larger one is 20+4x. Since they are complementary, their sum is 90. (All measures are degrees.)

90 = x + (20+4x)
90 = 5x +20
70 = 5x
14 = x

The smaller angle is 14°.
The larger angle is 76°.

It is a LCM problem

Step-by-step explanation:

6 muffins together

20 cookies together

To sell the same amount of muffins and cookies,

Find the lowest common multiple of 6 muffins and 20 cookies

6 muffins = 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54, 60, 66, 72, 78

20 cookies = 40, 60, 80

The lowest common multiple of 6 muffins and 20 cookies is 60

Therefore,

They sold 60 muffins and 60 cookies yesterday

It is a LCM problem
