PH is a measure of how acidic/basic water is. the range goes from 0 to 14 with 7 being neutral. pH is really a measure of the relative amount of free hydrogen and hydroxyl ions in the water

Other reasons that why fungi are not classified as plants include that because they have no chloroplast, instead they feed on dead organic matters. Another reason is that they store carbohydrates in form of glycogen, instead of plants which store carbohydrates as starch instead.
