The correct answer is C. Both the outer and inner membrane.

The phospholipids bilayer of the mitochondria is both the inner and outer membranes.

Phospholipids are termed as class of lipids which are the important component of a cell membranes.

Phospholipids can form lipid bilayers reason being their amphiphilic characteristics. Phospholipids' structure consists of two hydrophobic fatty acids which are the tail and hydrophilic which is the head.

The phospholipid bilayer of the mitochondrion would be the inner and both the outer part of the membrane - C. The phospholipid bilayer is actually considered to consist of both parts of the membrane and in reality is the main constituent part of the membrane.

What can you conclude from the graph?
MAVERICK [17]

I believe the answer is: A) do you reaction that causes a firework to explore requires less energy just start and occurs more rapidly than the reaction that causes the candle to burn

The energy needed to start the reaction should be shown by the bump at the begining of the reaction. The bump shown by blue line(candle) is much higher than bump made by the orange line(firework).

The y segment of the graph showing the time. The reaction of firework also happens more rapidly which shown by the fact that the orange line(firework) is always on the left of the blue line(candle).

What are some of the challenges scientists most overcome when studying extreme environments such as deep space or the deep ocean
kvv77 [185]

Let us look at the what, why and how of studying extreme places like the deep earth and the deep space. Scientists need to figure out as to 'what' they want to look at such places, be it a new exotic creature or bio-genesis (birth of life). Unless there are several testable hypothesis constructed, such a study cannot begin. The 'why' aspect deals with the purpose of such research and expeditions. Is it of any use to the humans, or will it improve our current understanding of a phenomenon? The 'how' aspect deals with the technology and the economic assistance that can help in undertaking such a research. All these are the challenges that needed to be thoroughly considered to make such a research or expedition possible.

In numerous studies, treatment of prion preparations with ionizing and UV radiation does not reduce transmission of disease; how
mel-nik [20]

Answer:

A. Prions do not contain genetic information, which is affected by ionizing radiation.

B. Denaturants may affect the tertiary structure of prions.

C. Prions are proteins.

Explanation:

Prions are the proteinaceous infectious particles that cause many degenerative diseases of neurons in both animals and humans. They consist of only protein and no DNA or RNA. Due to the absence of DNA or RNA as genetic material, these infectious particles are resistant to ionizing radiation. Ionizing radiations affect nucleic acids of pathogens to destroy them.

Denaturation of proteins affects their secondary and tertiary structures and leave them non-functional. Denaturation may be caused by changes in temperature, pH, disturbance of hydrogen bonds, etc. Therefore, to destroy prions, they need to be denatured.
