Given, cost of 12 pairs of socks is $12.96

First, we will calculate price of each pair of socks

Now, cost of each pair is total amount divided by the total number of pairs

cost of each pair = \frac{\text {total amount}}{\text {total number of pairs}}

=\frac{12.96}{12} = 1.08

Now, cost of each socks,

Each pair has two socks , so cost of each socks = \frac{\text { cost of each pair of socks }}{2}

=\frac{1.08}{2} = 0.54          

Hence, the cost or price of the each sport socks is $0.54
