2.75 divided by 2.25 in a fraction??

First divide 2.75 by 2.25
2.75 / 2.25 = 1.2
Then convert to fraction
1. Put the decimal over one - 1.2/1
2. Multiply both top and bottom by ten for every number after the decimal point - 1.2 x 100 = 120 and 1 x 100 = 100, so now 12/10
3. You can simplify the fraction - 12/10 = 6/5
Then you can change to mixed number 6/5 = 1 1/5
So you can either make it 12/10 if it does not say simplify, but if it does you can either do 6/5 or 1 1/5, I say 1 1/5
