An airplane maintaining a constant airspeed takes as long to travel 925 mi with wind as it does to travel 775 mi against the win
kow [346]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  170 mph

Step-by-step explanation:

The speed of the airplane can be represented by s. The travel time will be ...

  time = distance/speed

  925/(s +15) = 775/(s -15)

  925(s -15) = 775(s +15)

  150s = 25500 . . . . . . . . . add 13875-775s

  s = 170

The rate of the plane in still air is 170 mph.
